Light the Palm
A few weeks ago the hubster set out with me to capture some long exposure night photos. Like most cities there are more opportunities than time. This is a familiar scene in our city and one that often offers a breath of fresh air when the fast paced city life seems to be getting the best of me.

Beautiful Amber, love how the branches are illuminated and the texture on the truck.
Awesome shot.
ooooh that's really pretty - I like that.
The colors and lighting are lovely. Thank you for sharing!
This is wonderful! It definitely feels like FL at night! I love that you went out with your tripod to capture some slow shutter speed shots!! The colors look great! Well done!
This is stunning beauty to me, Amber. Passing night-lit sites like this makes me breathe deeply and give thanks for living in this area and for the communities, corporations and families who highlight and share the beauty.
I've tried and failed to capture the sigh of beauty with my point and shoot, but your long exposure captured it perfectly! I will return to this one often. Thank You!
I had a queen palm outside my bedroom window as a girl and I used to fall asleep to the wonderful sound of the fronds swishing against one another. This photo evokes that sigh of relaxation and appreciation.
It also makes me think about how the stunning beauty of some lives has been revealed and highlighted against their backdrop of darkness, pain and suffering.
Beautiful! I love the way the light is hitting the branches. So happy you joined us for Still Life Standouts!
really beautiful!
Very cool!!
This turned out so awesome! I can just feel the balmy night air! I am determined to get some night photos one of these days, lol.
Great shot :)
