Physical Therapy Gym

Several weeks ago I was inspired and encouraged by Kat's Process of Elimination post.  A few days after reading it, I took the rare opportunity to photograph an empty physical therapy gym where I work one Saturday (sometimes more often) per month.  It was lunchtime, so the gym was empty.  I took a break from my paperwork and began exploring objects and their photo potential.

A rack full of ankle and hand weights can be found in most physical therapy gyms.  These have been worn by many men and women who are working to preserve and enhance the last several years of their lives.

Another common piece of equipment found in a physical therapy gym is the Upper Body Ergometer, aka. UBE or arm bike.

What's a physical therapy gym without hot pack covers?  Whether used often or on rare occasions every P.T. gym will have at least one.

This one is more commonly found in a gym treating elderly patient's.  It is a light weight bar that can be used for overhead strengthen and stretching among other activities.

These pieces of equipment are all too familiar, as I see them when I go to physio each day!
