Multitude Monday XXVII

holy experience

November 15, 2010


I am thankful:
1570.  for all of my senses
1571.  that I can smell coffee brewing, cookies baking, and a little boy's poo poo butt
1572.  that I can see the beauty of God's creation all around me
1573.  that I can hear birds chirping, children LAUGHing, and people crying
1574.  that I can taste the sweetness of a watermelon and the spiciness of pumpkin spice coffee creamer
1575.  that I can touch water and know it is wet, that I can feel the embrace of a hug

Sam is thankful:
43.  for cool morning air
44.  for enjoyable weather

I am thankful:
1576.  for my wellness
1577.  that I can go for a run
1578.  that overall I am healthy and am able to do most things I set my mind too

Sam is thankful:
45.  for a work road trip
46.  for a chance to get out of the office, see projects, and do something a little different

I am thankful:
1579.  for photography
1580.  that we can preserve a moment in time that will be cherished for years to come
1581.  for all of the pictures taken during my life that allow me to immediately rewind time and relive a moment

Sam is thankful: (this one is about me, so I am going to copy what Sam wrote)
"Today, I am so very thankful for you, the love of my life (#48).  I am thankful for your high character (#49), your love of righteousness (#50), your desire to seek the LORD and change family trends(#51), your love for me and our son (#52), your love for family (#53), your love of fun and new things (#54), your desire to start family traditions (#55).  I am blessed by you and blessed to have you as my wife, partner, lover, and friend (#56)."

I am thankful:
1582.  for things that make my life easier.  Things like running water, electricity, a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, a microwave, a refrigerator, an oven, a car, a crockpot, a blow dryer, a vacuum, and on and on I could go

Sam is thankful:
57.  for how rewarding completion is
58.  that even though labor is a curse sometimes, it can also yield a feeling of accomplishment and achievement

I am thankful:
1583.  for all of my family members: my aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephews, grandparents, sister, parents, and in-laws

Sam is thankful:
59.  for birds, how they float on nothing, and their freedom
60.  for God's creativity in Creation
61.  for God's care for us

I am thankful:
1584.  for music and how it can stir me to worship the LORD and/or celebrate life in a new, deeper ways
1585.  for my sister and Chris's voice and how they have blessed me time and time again
1586.  that anyone can make a joyful noise to the LORD

Sam is thankful:
62.  for community.  The community of family, friends, and town.
63,  that he can go to the park and have conversations with people he doesn't know
64,  for people outside enjoying each other and their kids
65.  for Bennett watching other kids play

I am thankful:
1587.  for a happy little boy
1588.  that he is so full of joy
1589.  that he is visibly learning new "things" every day
1590.  that he rode in the stroller for over an hour this morning smiling and playing
1591.  that he sat in the floor of the church nursery and happily played, allowing me to tend to the children who were crying

Sam is thankful:
66.  for naps

Wow, I've been wanting to start mine - I have - but I can't do it like you - and you have a head start of 1591!

Intimidating.

And your artistic flair - with the traveling chalkboard? Wow.

And your husband sharing - fist bump for the man. That's a husband!

Maybe I'll get Laska the love kitty to do it with me? Strength in numbers.
