I am a WHOLE 6 months old!

I am six months old today.  I am a big boy who is getting bigger and bigger.......I prefer to say stronger and healthier.  I weigh 21 lbs. 4 oz. (96th percentile).  I am 29 inches tall (96th percentile).  And my head is 17.75 inches (85th percentile).  I am pretty sure I have the "hang of life" outside the womb....for the most part.  I have figured out I have emotions that I am slowly learning to control.  I have also learned that life outside the womb is constantly changing.  For example, I couldn't roll onto my stomach a month ago, but now I can roll all over the room.  I see many little people like me who can move around much quicker, but I am still trying to figure that out.

I love to jump in my jump-a-roo.

I love to roll around on the floor while playing with my toys.

I love to hold my arms up in the air and look at them curiously while rotating my wrists around and around and around, especially if I am holding my pacifier.  I love to chew on pens and straws and spoons or anything that has the potential to gag me if I push it too far into my mouth.

I love to stand on the couch and look out the window.

I love peek-a-boo and when daddy tickles me.  I love sitting on the porch and watching the cars drive by.  I love my car seat..........JUST KIDDING, but I don't cry anymore when mom puts me in it.  I have even fallen asleep in it a few times recently.

Speaking of loves, if you didn't know, I love food.  I eat avocado, sweet potato, apples, green beans, bananas (my favorite), pears, peaches, prunes, squash, and carrots.  I used to eat peas, but after trying all of the other tasty food I agree with mom and dad: they're gross!

I have developed the ability to fake LAUGH which I use regularly when wanting attention.  Sometimes when I am excited I pant like a dog.  I also enjoy squealing.

I don't mind the stroller now.  It is actually quite fun to ride in the stroller.  I think I didn't like it when I was little, because I felt alone.  Now, I know mom and/or dad are behind me.  Plus, there are lots of cool things to look at while riding in the stroller.  I can see the cars passing, the people walking, the lizards crossing, and all of the flowers.  However, dad still carries me around on his chest in the bjorn.  Don't tell anyone, but I think he just does it because he misses me all day and that allows him to be close to me while we walk.

I almost forgot to tell you that I am sleeping through the night.  I still have a hard time going to sleep, but after falling asleep I don't wake up until 6:30 or 7 a.m.  I can tell mom and dad are very happy about this, because they are a lot less grouchy, especially mom.  My nap times aren't the longest, but I still take three and wake up happy and rested......most of the time.  I just get so excited to see mom I don't want to sleep that long.  She is so great and fun and pretty and lovely and smart and......

Sorry about that. Mom hijacked the computer.

Anyways, life is good.  The next time you hear from me, I will probably be moving around like those other little people.  I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!  I see all kinds of things I would like to put in my mouth, but I just can't get to them.  It's coming......SOON!!!

Thanks for keeping up with me.

Bennett

P.S-Mom constantly has the camera in my face.  She made me get in that storage bin......Whew!

Yay! 6 months is always such a marker for me. From 6 months till about 18 months (when discipline really gets going!) is just PURE FUN! Congrats on getting there! And yes, the sleeping thru the night thing changes everything...esp Mommy!!! (Bennett looks so much like his Daddy :) )

Such great pictures of Bennett! I love the lighting in the 5th and 6th picture (not that I know what's good or bad) but these turned out great!

And I think Bennett is bigger than Jack right now... if up against each other he would take him down! :)

Glad to hear he is sleeping better for you now! That is awesome! He is getting to be such a big boy, and his hair is so light! I'm glad that things seem to be going better. :)

Bennett- You are so hilarious and quite the blogger!! I think you may be a professional by the time you are 2. I love all your pictures taken by your beautiful, smart, funny mama. And most of all I am so glad you are sleeping through the night! Sleep makes for a happy baby and happy parents.

Another lovely post! I love reading about Bennett's little world! Ambo, he is bigger than Emily! She was 21.2 lbs last time I checked and she is barely taller! Can't wait for them to see each other. He may be bigger, but she will run circles around him...hehe!

Great post! He's a wonderful little man and he's really come a long way :) I can't believe he's in the 96th% for wt and length!!! I don't think Anlon's ever going to be in that percentile!
