Newborn Addy

Some of our very best friends had their first baby December 31st.  I was blessed to capture Addy within her first few weeks of life.

I took a few photos of Zoe last week before Sam returned to work, so that he could assist me.  I have a few more sessions in mind, one of which I had hoped to complete this past weekend, but the rainy weather put a hamper on it.

Here she is at 7 days old.

The blanket seen in the photo below is very special to me.  B has the blue and white polka dot version that he has slept with since he begin using a blanket (aka. lippie).  It was a gift given to him from my granny Hester who passed away a little over a year ago.  I was very close to my granny, so I love that I am reminded of her each time I cover B up.  

When I found out we were having a girl I emailed my aunt (who owns a children's clothing store) to ask if she had the same blanket in pink.  A month or so later I received the "girl" version in the mail.

Welcome Baby Palmer

I can remember the joy I experienced when my friend Carolina told me she was pregnant.  We were a part of a prayer group of four women.  It wasn't long after (may have been the same evening) that another member announced she was expecting and then a month later I announced I was expecting.  

Several months have passed and now two of the three babes have arrived.  A few weeks ago I was able to capture baby Palmer for Carolina and her family.

I was also able to capture Palmer with his older brother Jack, who is one of my son's friends.

I simply love the truth captured in this photo.  The joy of a toddler and the cries of a baby.
