Another favorite author/illustrator we discovered through my sister in law is Jan Brett. I love that she writes and illustrates her own books. I find her work captivating. Her books are instantly recognizable due to her unique illustrations that draw you further into the story. Her books typically include a story told from the perspective of an animal. She also has her own website that includes coloring pages and other activities to go along with her books. www.janbrett.com
