Scavenger Hunt Sunday

It has been a while since I have been able to link up with Ashley for Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  I look at the prompts every week with hopes to participate, but the last several weeks I have been lacking in the creative mojo department.

1.  High Key
I love when one of the prompts challenges me to learn something new about photography.  I want to work on achieving a high key photo with zero post-processing; however, this week time did not allow.  I was able to take the photo above with fairly even/flat light, but I still had to do some post-processing to desaturate.  Unfortunately, this looks more like a contrast photo than I would like it to.

2.  Bedroom
Initially, I thought this prompt could be hilarious or potentially freaky, but I know no one linking up to Ashley would be too freakish.......OK, I DON'T KNOW THAT.  Anyways, this is one of my favorite areas of our home.  Above our bed we have a photo wall consisting of 12 photos from our wedding.  It is very special to me, as it reminds me of the many wonderful memories from that day and of the commitment I made to be with my husband forever.

3.  Something Tiny
While they may be tiny now, they will grow to be the largest, grossest (is that a word?), most destructive grasshoppers you have ever seen.  Lubber grasshoppers can grow up to 4 inches long and a swarm of them will destroy your garden in a few days.  YUCKY!!!

4.  Off In The Distance
There are so many options, I had a hard time deciding what to do for this one.  After a week of rain, I pulled this one from the archives.  It is the view from one of the assisted living facilities I work in.  Not bad, HUH!?!?
5.  Stripes
I couldn't leave you without a photo of my little punky butt.  Here he sporting his KENTUCKY BLUE (We were excited for the Final Four.  Unfortunately, we lost.) stripped outfit.  Speaking of punky butt, don't forget to link up with the March Quarterly Top 5 Photos by Wednesday, so you will be entered to win a Shutterbug necklace from The Vintage Pearl or the Mom's Gonna Snap t-shirt from Clickin' Moms.  Click the banner below to join us!!!!!!

What a capture for your Something Tiny! That photo wall behind your bed? I love it! There's still space above all those photos for a wide 'panoramic' family photo --one that would stretch across the entire wall. =)

Wow. Each and every capture is awesome! As I was scrolling through I thought "LOVE the high key. Ooh. That's a great idea for a "head board" and than I got to your tiny capture. AWESOME! I really love your tiny capture. The little critters are adorable in some way! Great work. Also, your off in the distance capture really has a feeling of calm. I enjoy that. Your stripes capture is absolute adorable!

So many great shots, off in the distance is beautiful and your high key is fantastic, however, I think my favourite is all those tiny little grasshoppers!!!

I'm in love with your photos this week! The grasshoppers made a great photo all lined up on a blade of grass. They sound like they'll be awful when they get bigger. I think grossest works fine in that sentence! Love the view of the buildings in the distance and the stripes shot is adorable.

I'm so jealous of your bedroom. Mine is plain boring in comparison. It looks like somehthing out of a catalog. Your high key rose is so pretty. All of your shots are really wonderful. I like your tiny bugs...even if they are meanies and eat up plants. Of course I wouldn't say that if it were my garden!
