FAITH

This week Ashley and Jill's theme is FAITH.  Faith, what is it?  Don't we all have faith in something?  Merriam-Webster defines faith as a "firm belief in something for which there is no proof; complete trust; something that is believed especially with strong convictions."  The Bible defines faith as "confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1).

I have a "firm belief" that Jesus Christ came to this earth.  I have a "firm belief" that He lived a perfect life.  I have a "firm belief" that He died on a cross for my sins.  I have a "firm belief" that He was resurrected on the third day, so that I might have LIFE and have it to the full.
I have "firm beliefs." I have "strong convictions." I have "confidence" in Jesus Christ, the "hope of all nations.  I have "assurance" that my LORD made all things, controls all things, and works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).  I have FAITH in the LORD Jesus Christ!
There are days and seasons when I struggle to put my "complete trust," my complete "confidence" in the Lord, but during those days, during those seasons I pray, "I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief" (Mark 9:24).
Several months ago, I started documenting my Journey of Faith, as I felt the Lord prompting me to share more of my story.  I believe documenting your journey with the Lord serves as  beautiful reminder of the work He has done in your life.  I have written about my season of doubt, answered prayer, unanswered prayer, my sin, correcting brothers/sisters in Christ, motherhood, the blessing of music, books, Scripture, and many others.  You can view the list of posts HERE, where you can also read about the meme.

All of the photos above are SOOC, so be sure to check back Thursday for the edits.

Really enjoyed reading your post today. I am finishing up a book about the specifics of what the different religions of the world believe, which has really convicted me to dig deeper about my faith and what I believe in.

And love the pictures, they remind me of the beautiful churches of Italy!

Well I clearly can’t put my faith in photobucket – but I am a faithful supporter of you. I mean look at those windows!! And those are raw – no editing??? I have known you were an artist from day one of reading you. You have a gift my sister.

I’m really glad I got a chance to come by today. I always heart your stuff. God bless and keep you and all of yours Amber.

your post reminds me of one of my favorite JJ Heller songs, 'True Things':

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEH7zqkRpIg

..."There are true things inside of me
I have been afraid to see
I believe, help my unbelief
Would you say again what you said to me
I am loved and I am free
I believe, help my unbelief..."

nice pics, as always! :)
