I am 7 months old

I was 7 months old on October 28th.  My world just keeps getting bigger.  I keep getting bigger too.  I am not sure how much I weigh or how tall I am, but people continue to grunt when they pick me up and I hear them saying, "Wow, he is a big boy."

Now that I am able to sit independently, life is much more fun.  I really enjoy when mom sits me in the kitchen and lets me play with her pots and pans.  I have been trying to come into a sitting from a lying postion, on my own, but have yet to accomplish that task.  Sitting makes play time much more fun.  I still enjoy putting things in my mouth, but pushing buttons, knocking over blocks, looking at myself in the mirror, and attempting to stack objects is becoming more entertaining.  To be honest, I would be fine without all of those fancy toys.  I could play with spatulas, sunglasses, plastic water bottles, car keys, boxes, and spoons all day long.  Mom really wants me to enjoy books, but I'm not so sure about them.

I love being outside.  Mom and I sit on the front porch and play.  She puts me in the jogging stroller and we go for a run, sometimes dad comes along.  We go to the park and swing.  I even got to sit and play in the leaves when we were in Kentucky.

Speaking of Kentucky, I rode in an airplane for the second time last week.  Mom and dad took me to Kentucky to meet several of their friends.  I also got to visit with my cousins and my Koo Koo Nan.  I was worn out by the end, but I am glad mom and dad had so much fun showing me off.

I have also begun reaching for mom and dad.  When I am tired, I really want one of them to hold me, so I lean over and hold out my arms.  They know to take me.

I love bananas.  Mom usually feeds it to me, but  lately she has been putting me in the high chair and expecting me to pick it up all on my own.  Sometimes I am successful and sometimes not, but I'll keep practicing.  Who knows, next month I may be feeding myself more than just bananas.

I can hold my bottle, but most of the time I just let mom or dad do it.  I can also drink out of my sippy cup, but I mostly enjoy playing with it.  As a matter of fact I have really good dexterity.  It is getting better every day.

Dad continues to make me laugh on a daily basis, especially when he tickles me or blows on my belly.  I get really excited to see him in the morning and when he comes home from work.

I also love to people watch.  Mom says I am a busy body.  If I remember correctly Koo Koo Nan says mom was a busy body when she was a little girl.  I guess I am learning from the best.

Well I am struggling to think of all the other milestones I have met and/or activities I am doing, so I'm signing off till next month.

Sincerely,

Bennett

I am SO proud of you Bennett! You are really doing some impressive things and have become such a fun little boy. I'm glad you decided that your Mommy and Daddy had done ok during their hazing period. They're really pretty nice, huh? Well, now that you've learned so much you'll have to teach Anlon a few of your tricks!

Bennett, i think you could get a modeling job for your mom's sunglasses' advertising agency.

Amber, I enjoyed all the photos but the two close-up face shots are really great. Thanks for the update.
