Friday I was so excited for the weekend ahead. I knew it would be busy and possibly disastrous (that may be a strong description, but oh well) if Bennett got too over stimulated, but I was glad to be getting out of the house.
Friday night we went to Sam's softball game. Here in south Florida we cling to the days of spring like they are our favorite child hood blankie. Any opportunity to be outside while you can still breathe adequately and stay dry is AMAZING!!!! Friday was hot, but Friday night was a nice Spring evening and I actually watched a little of the game while chatting with friends.
Saturday, we were up early and planning to be out the door by 10 a.m. I was pleased we made it out by 10:15 a.m. We made a pit stop at Target before driving to West Chase to celebrate Drew's 4th birthday (Drew is the son of Nikki and Sean-a couple in our small group). It was, again, great to be outside and to visit with so many friends. Several people met Bennett for the first time. He slept the whole time minus the 30 minutes he took to eat. I was quit excited, as he took his first bottle of breast milk from Sam (I was afraid he would refuse the bottle). We were able to stay for a few hours before heading home for the evening.

Sunday, we were planning to be out the door by 1 p.m. and on our way to the Cullum Easter Bash (I know it's late, but it was the best day for everyone's schedule). I was excited to see everyone, as it has been almost a year since I have seen some of Sam's extended family. We were on our way to Brooksville by 1 p.m. Bennett slept most of the way, which was great for a little mommy/daddy conversation. Upon our arrival everyone was excited to meet Bennett, so mistakingly we took our sweet little sleeping man out of the carrier, which eventually led to a crying overly tired little man. I was able to get him back to sleep before we ate a fabulous lunch. After a good nap and some food, Bennett was able to be passed around a bit. It was great to see everyone and overall Bennett did well.

Sorry I didn't get more of the family.
I must say this weekend made me miss my family ALOT!!!!!! I can't wait for June, because my cousin Alison is getting married in Hilton Head. We are going and will be spending a week there with my family.
