Levi: 4 months

Four months is when I start seeing the light and it is no different with baby #3.  He is slowly settling into a better night time routine, although he is still waking up.  He goes back to sleep more easily.  (LOL!  I am posting this a few weeks into his 4th month and we have had some of our worst nights yet).  Naps are a different story.  One day he sleeps great, the next day he sleeps for 30 minutes and then fights it and is fussy until his next nap.  He goes to be around 7 p.m. and typically wakes between 10-11 p.m., again at 3 a.m. and then 5 or 6 a.m.  Sometimes, he will go back to sleep till 7 a.m. and sometimes he won't.  He take 3-4 naps each day and they range from 30 minutes to 2 hours.  Typically, only one of his naps will be longer than 45 minutes, but that varies.

He eats approximately 7 times per day.  I am still nursing, but some feedings I have to supplement a few ounces and every night he drinks a 6 oz. bottle of formula at bedtime.  At night while nursing he rubs his hand back and forth across my chest and I kind of love it.

He is still a spitter, but the reflux meds and dairy elimination seem to be helping as he is less fussy (or shall I say he screams a lot less).  We switched him to Prevacid which seems to be more effective than Zantac.  The same was true for Bennett.

He has started chewing on his hands when he loses his pacifier at night, but definitely prefers his pacifier.

He has started to laugh.  He is ticklish under his arms and on the inside of his knee.

He has started to roll from his stomach to his back.

He has started holding onto toys and attempting to chew them which has been a great distraction in the car.   Praise the Lord he is happy in the car most of the time now a days.  He has also been riding in the stroller for 20-30 minutes tear-free.

He wears size 3 diapers and 6 month clothing.  I have to change his diaper at least one time at night or he pees out which is a bummer :(  He weighs 16.3 pounds (69th percentile) and is 26 inches long (78th percentile).  His head is 16.75 inches (49th percentile).

Like Bennett, Levi is easily overstimulated, so he struggles to fall asleep when we are out and about.  He doesn't love being held by other people, but he does love being held by mommy and daddy.  We get the best smiles and giggles and squeaks as Zoe calls them.

His current nicknames are:  Little Nugget, Hotdog (Zoe's nickname for him), and Grump-a-doo

She wanted to lay down and take a picture with him...........Then, he pulled her hair ;)
