Yummy (super easy) Pork Chops

Since Bennett has been born, Sam and I have been blessed to have our church family supply us with two to three meals a week.   In addition to those three meals we usually eat with Sam's family one to two times a week.  Needless to say, I have done very little cooking.  However, this week I am back in the kitchen.  I was reminded of a Pork Chop recipe I got off the internet a few years ago (I am sorry.  I have no idea where it came from and I do not claim it as my own).  As a matter of fact, I don't even know the name of the recipe.  I just know it is YUMMY and would recommend you give it a try!!!

Pour all ingredients (minus the pork....of course) into a bowl

Mix together

Place 4 to 6 (I know I only used 3, but it's all I had) pork chops in an oven safe dish (unless you are going to grill them)

Cover pork chops with sauce mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes

Sorry, I didn't take an after picture.  The hubster and I were trying to stuff our faces while the little dude was happy.  Kind of a regular occurrence around here these days.

I served grilled zucchini/squash and stuffing with the pork chops to make a tasty meal.

Ingredients

1/4 cup Ketchup
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. mustard
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 tsp. garlic
1/2 tsp. liquid hickory smoke
Dash of salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp. cider vinegar

Mix all ingredients.  Pour over 4 to 6 pork chops.  Either baste and grill 4 minutes, then flip and grill 6 minutes (I have never grilled them) or bake in sauce for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Sounds yummy! I"ll have to bookmark it! I make a simplified version of this with Salmon. I mix brown sugar, a bit of bbq sauce, and some soy sauce together. Coat Salmon and bake. It's super quick and delicious. It also reminds me of the bourbon glaze that Cheddars uses. I miss Cheddars.

mmm these look really yummy!! Just stopping by from Natalie's blogpost for the picture challenge!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. To answer your question, I shoot with a NIkon D80, and have a 18-135mm lens. I edit my photos through lightroom, and I used a preset for those first two photos to help achieve the lighting that I specifically wanted. I just posted a more recent shoot I did... wish that I waited so I could have entered some of the new photos! I love yours though... the one of the palm tree makes me miss FL!!
