Tomorrow is the big day.

Tomorrow we are set to close on the house at 1:30 p.m. We are very excited, especially after the disappointment of not getting to close last Friday.

Since our house offer was accepted I have turned into the HGTV queen, Craig's list browser, consignment store shopper, ultimate painter, home magazine reader, and so on. I have never been the type of girl to sit around and watch HGTV, the food channel, or TLC, but I have been morphed into Mrs. Domestic Dreamer!! I have always enjoyed decorating, but I have never enjoyed the tv shows or the magazines like I do now. There are so many great ideas, so many ways to use the items you own, so many creative touches that can transform your space. I love it! So far, I have painted the kitchen and our bedroom. Sam and his family have torn the porch ceiling out, replaced the old electrical wiring, and fixed some of the plumbing. We have purchased three new ceiling fans and kitchen lights that are anxiously awaiting their placement.

I would like to say it has all been fun, but there have been some worries.........on my end anyway. Despite the worries (I know worrying does not help, I am working on that), I think we have found a diamond in the rough. I look forward to making our house a home!!
