May passed by quickly with end of the school year activities for Bennett, end of Bible Study Fellowship, and weekend trips for both Sam and myself. With that said 7 months came quickly and now Levi has hit the 8 month mark. Can I say I LOVE this phase of babyhood? It is so enjoyable to watch them explore and begin to learn so many new things.
He goes to sleep between 7:30 and 8 p.m. wakes between 4:30-5:30 a.m. and drinks 6 ounces, then goes back to sleep until about 6:30 a.m. Currently, he naps from around 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-2:30 or 3 p.m. We are able to lay him down with his boppy and lovie (aka. stinkasaurus) and he will go to sleep fairly easily.
He has cut his two bottom teeth, which were quite the strain on his sleep and mood. I love his little toothy grin :)
He eats solids 3x per day and drinks 5- 6 to 8 ounce bottles per day. He has started picking up and eating puffs, small banana pieces, bread, beans, and a few other table foods. He still spits out green veggies, but has started to enjoy avocado. I have introduced a zippy cup of water, but so far he is not interested. He does like to drink water when I drop it into his mouth from the end of a straw. He is still taking Prevacid, but I hope he can stop by 9 months.
He can sit unsupported for 5 to 30 seconds, but is inconsistent with maintaining his balance when reaching outside of his base of support. He rolls all over the floor and crib. He army crawls all over the house and is now putting a lot of his siblings toys in his mouth. He gets up on hands and knees rocking back and forth, but has not started crawling.
He has become very affectionate and snuggly. When he is tired he buries his face in my and shoulder rubbing his head back and forth. He will also wrap his arms around my neck and lay his head down on my shoulder. He will let us rock him for a short time now. He enjoys touching faces and giving open mouth kisses. He also reaches for me and Sam.
He enjoys both Bennett and Zoe, but currently his world lights up when Bennett interacts with him. Bennett calls him Cutie Pie over and over again and Levi consistently smiles. Bennett enjoys carrying Levi and Zoe enjoys holding him on her chest and rolling around with him on the ground.
Bath and pool time are probably some of his most joyful moments. When we enter the bathroom, he looks down at his tub and begins to smile and bounce. He also enjoys jumping in his jump a roo.
He doesn't have many toy preferences. He mostly army crawls around the house exploring the vents, searching for cords, outlets, and such. You know things baby boys do. His favorite toys are:
