Happenings.....

I am not much for New Year's Resolutions. However, I do a journal entry at the end of every year which acts as a year end review of my life and a few goals/hopes I have for the following year. I must admit, I don't think much about what I wrote until another year comes to an end and I look back and re-read the previous year end review. Like many of my friends, this year I took a quick glance back over all that has happened in my life over the last decade.

-I rang in the new millennium with many of my college friends at the 162 house in Lexington, KY
-I went snow skiing for the first time and absolutely fell in love with it.
-I started physical therapy school in 2001 and graduated in 2003.
-I had 12 different roommates during the first decade of the new millennium.
-I was a bridesmaid in 11 weddings and celebrated along side many other friends as they said, "I DO!"
-I said goodbye to my papaw Frank.
-I worked in Outpatient Physical Therapy for 5 years and learned more than I ever thought possible.
-My sister/Chris and my parents moved from Prestonsburg, KY to Nashville, TN.
-My sister and Chris welcomed their first child, Braxton.
-I bought my first car.
-I went on mission trips to Haiti and India.
-My grandparents lost their home, along with 4 other homes, due to a gas line explosion.
-I volunteered in high school ministry for 4 years and was blessed with a group of girls that I know God is using in mighty ways.
-I attended my first Jesus Prom and God opened my heart to love people in a new capacity.
-I bought my first computer, my first ipod, my first cell phone, and my first camera.
-I have watched my papaw Jim battle cancer with more vigor and courage than anyone I have every known.
-I met Sam in 2006 and married him in 2008.
-I co-planned and attended my 10 year high school reunion.
-I ran my first half marathon
-We moved from Lexington, KY to Tampa, FL.
-We bought our first house
-We found out we were expecting our first child.

It is excited to think about the next 10 years. Lots of diapers, lots of milk, lots of games, lots of no's, lots of cheers, lots of laughter, lots of woes, all in all lots of change............
-I celebrated my 30th birthday

Wow, I really like how you looked back on the whole decade! What a great idea! Your journals sound great too, I may have to start copying you. :)
